About this work
Description
A treatise of Agriculture from the Dictionary of Arts and Sciences published at Edinburgh Anno Domini. 1778. Illustrated with carefully executed pen-drawings of the original engraved plates of farming implements, etc. The original main extract ends on p. 359. This is followed by 141 pp. of other excerpts with a title-page 'Extracts, etc.' These also deal with agricultural subjects. This is a transcript from the second edition (1778-1783) of the 'Encyclopaedia Britannica.' The compiler's name appears on the second fly-leaf.
