Description

The purpose of the film is to set out the principles of embalming deceased American military service personnel. The film has narration throughout. A genuine deceased man is shown being prepared for embalming; he is a young Caucasian man of skinny appearance. There is a standard kit provided by the US Navy as well as approved clothing. He is shaved and bathed carefully. In order for the corpse to have a 'life-like' appearance; the eyes are prepared. Drainage of blood from the body is demonstrated in preparation for the receipt of embalming fluid. The film ends suddenly.
