About this work

Description

A man has climbed up on the tree waving a flag and part of the governor's armour is scattered on the ground. In 1422 the city of Meaux was besieged by Henry V of England. When the town surrendered, the governor was hanged. Henry V and the flag of Saint George are shown on the left
