English translation of Bartsch's description: Mary of Einsiedeln, 1466. A small chapel with an altar on which the Virgin is seated with the infant Jesus on her knees. On her left is an angel, on her right a monk carrying a crozier; each of them holds a candle. At the foot of the altar, kneeling, are a woman on the left and a man on the right, both dressed as pilgrims and holding a pilgrim's staff. On a kind of balcony above the chapel are seen on the right God the Father giving a benediction with his raised right hand, on the left God the Son soaking an aspergillum in an aspersorium held by an angel, and between them the Holy Ghost. These three divine persons are accompanied by a large number of angels, of whom some are singing and the others are playing various musical instruments. Four others hold up a l arge canopy.On the base of the balcony, on the left is engraved the year 1466, and on the right the letter [gothic E]. On the arch of the chapel one can read in gothic letters: This is the angelic consecration of our dear Lady at Einsiedeln. Hail [Mary] full of grace.

Furhter details: one of the angels is playing a lute, another a harp, while three of them are singing from a song book held by two of them. On the right, an inscribed tablet is hanging on hook on the spandrel of the arch. Below, three pilgrims look up at the Virgin from the sides of the chapel
