    fully one-third larg^er than normal, there was no gross indication of pressure upon the other structures. It is possible with the agonal emptying of vessels any signs of marked pres- sure might have disappeared. Even though obstruction of the air-passages from within or without was present, death was overtaking the patient because of shock, and cardiovascular failure, we believe, due to the lymphatic toxemia. The diagnosis during life was that of status lymphaticus or lymphatism with en- larged thymus gland, in the course of which an infection causing laryngitis, tracheitis, and bronchitis occurred. Ik
