Description

Among other attributes of Cupid and spring are a shepherd's crook and pipe, a tambourine, the torch burning the fire of love, and a pair of cooing doves. Cupid wears a quiver of arrows over his shoulder. They represent the poem 'Spring' (1726), in 'The seasons' by James Thomson
