File consists of draft papers, correspondence and photographs of experiment results (to be used in the final article) related to the paper by K.K.F. Ng and J.R. Vane, "The Conversion of Angiotensin I to Angiotensin II", Nature, vol.216, p762-766, 25 November 1967. Details include:
Printer's typed proof version of the article, with manuscript annotation, dated 8 November 1967.
Two different typed drafts of the paper including figure titles, tables and references. Minimal annotation. In addition there are several drafts of the table, including a handwritten version, and a list of the figures with titles and pictures.
Photographs used as figures/tables in the article including; figure 1 (X45/29/2620); figure 2 (X42/78/2467); figure 3 (X45/29/2619); figure 4 (X42/78/2465); and figure 5 (X44/67/2596). In addition there are photographs which were not used including X45/2/2613.
Correspondence between Vane and the publisher including; a letter from Vane to John Maddox (editor at Nature) submitting the paper and referring to it as the most important and interesting paper yet sent by Vane to Nature (20 October 1967); and an acknoledgement receipt from Nature dated 3 November 1967.
Typed letter from Vane to Professor W.S. Peart, Department of Medicine, St Mary's Hospital, London , enclosing a copy of the manuscript (not present) submitted to Nature. There is a typed note at the bottom of the letter mentioning that a similar letter was sent to nine other named individuals.
Short summary document with the same title as the published article and a manuscript note saying, "submitted for Cambridge Pharmacology meeting Sept. '67".
