Segment 1 This segment demonstrates good standing posture, illustrated by a young boy. He shows features such as a lifted chest, flat lower abdomen. To illustrate how posture depends upon the set of opposing muscles, an anatomical drawing of the muscles which pull the shoulders forward and an anatomical drawing of muscles which pull the shoulders back are overlaid onto the torso of a very athletic young man. Good posture and bad posture are contrasted with two boys standing facing each other. Time start: 00:00:00:00 Time end: 00:04:36:05 Length: 00:04:36:05
Segment 2 How to correct bad posture by standing against a wall is demonstrated by a young boy. Segment 3 A young man sitting at a desk is used to illustrate the importance of keeping the backbone straight. Poor and good posture are contrasted in the way they affect lung capacity and the position of the abdominal organs. This section deals with the importance of good posture. There is an illustration of how posture affects the size of the chest, lung capacity and position of the abdominal organs. The value of good posture is shown to affect appearance, health and athletic accomplishment. Footage is shown of two ladies walking; one is stooping, the other walks tall.
