Description
Possibly Edmund Cartwright, clergyman, medical practitioner, and inventor of machines including a rotary printing press, a power loom, and a horseless carriage. The engraving by J. Thomson with lettering "Dr Cartwright engr. from a picture in possession of Miss Cartwright. London", is very like the present painting
