The Power of Peckham. Part 2.

Forty five years after the Peckham Centre was closed, Southwark Local Authority has decided to reopen the building and regenerate the leasure centre. The old centre had four aspects in those days, users participation, inter-generation mix, family life and health checks to prevent illness. The programme also discusses the Halisham in Sussex. The ideals of the Peckham Centre are still relevant, and Southwark Council is expected to reopen the centre in 1997-8.
