"The Adams Nervine Asylum ... situated on Centre Street, at Jamaica Plain, was founded by the will of Seth Adams ... for the benefit of such indigent, debilitated, nervous people, who are not insane, inhabitants of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as may be in need of the benefit of a curative institution"
Consists of the report of the managers (James C. Davis, secretary), report of the resident physician (S.G. Webber), statistical tables and financial statement (George A. Goddard), report of the supervisors (James B. Thayer, A.L.
