What you’ll do
Tricia Hersey, founder of The Nap Ministry, will lead you through a slow and connected exploration of rest as a tool for healing, communal care and resistance.
Tricia will deliver a guided session for 45 minutes during which you’ll experience storytelling, collective daydreaming, meditation and actual napping. There will be a chance to ask questions for the last 10 minutes of the event.
During the guided session, please find a comfortable location where you can sit and/or lay down. You are encouraged to bring a blanket, pillow or whatever items help you to rest easy. You are also welcome to to write down or voice record your thoughts if you wish.
Join us as we activate our bodies to help us resist ‘grind culture’ and the stresses of daily life.
Your camera, microphone and 'chat' function can be open throughout the session, but you are not required to contribute. The event will be live captioned by Stagetext.
This event will be hosted through the videoconferencing platform BlueJeans. After booking a ticket, you will receive a confirmation email with joining instructions.
‘A Space for Rest’ is part of Bloomsbury Festival (16–25 October 2020).
